RDS Dublin on Thursday 26^th April

At the 10th National IT Training Conference held in the RDS Dublin on Thursday 26^th April.

Clonmel based business Compulearn, scooped the top National Award of ECDL Training Centre of the Year 2007.

Owned and run by Peter and Margaret O’Keeffe, the award was presented to them by Mr. Jim Friars Chief Executive of ICS-Skills the Irish Computer Society, Skills Division. 

ICS-Skills are the governing body for over 1000 training centres Nationwide. These include Government, Corporate, Educational, Community/Voluntary and Private Training Sectors.   This National Award recognises the ECDL Training Centre that has demonstrated best practice and innovation in the implementation of ICS-Skills computer training programmes and has shown operational excellence in quality requirements. Compulearn also received the award for ECDL Best Practice, Private Training Centre.

Peter and Margaret are committed to the highest standards of training, and to providing a progression path for Compulearn students. Each student is treated as an individual and because of their different needs and objectives, advice is always available.
As an ICS-Skills ‘Certified Training Centre’ all their trainers are Certified Training Professionals. The standard of their facilities is second to none, with comfortable surroundings, excellent friendly relaxed atmosphere, and their students are always using the most up-to-date computer hardware and software.

Compulearn hosts their Awards Presentation Evening twice a year which acknowledges their students achievements for courses such as, Introduction to Computers (Equalskills), ECDL, Pre-ECDL, ECDL Advanced, Digital Photography, WebStarter to name just a few. A social event which is usually attended by the Mayor of Clonmel.

This award winning training centre is also the only authorised Sage Ireland Training Centre in the South East for Sage Accounts and Sage Payroll training, with the Trainers certified by Sage Ireland.

Recently Compulearn were contracted by Fás to provide ECDL and ECDL Advanced training courses with a 70% cost reduction to local business who qualify under the Competency Development Program, which is funded by the National Development Plan.

Compulearn is six years in business and Peter and Margaret are very proud of the Awards presented to them. Long hours and hard work does have its rewards.
